Valle Bader

We begin the expedition with a rich breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Then, we follow a trail along the shores of Lago Nordenskjöld for about 12 km to Refugio Cuernos. We are served a warm dinner in the refugio and spend the night the cozy, A-framed cabins perched on a hillside nearby.

On day two, we enter Valle Bader, one of the least visited but most impressive valleys of the region, situated between Los Cuernos and Monte Almirante Nieto. We wander between the various mountains, including Cuerono Máscara, Cuerno Hoja, and Cuerno Espada, and we appreciate the exposed granite walls that characterize the massif.

Valle Francés

On the first day of this three-day excursion, we eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Then we walk 12 km east to Refugio Cuernos, where we eat lunch and learn about Monte Almirante Nieto and Lake Nordenskjöld. After a short rest, we continue east to Campamento Italiano, where we’ll find the tents in which we will sleep and eat already pitched. A cook will prepare dinner for us as we sip wine and discuss the next day’s excursion.

On the second day, we eat breakfast in the dining tent and depart early to photograph the sunrise in the Valle del Frances. We explore the valley all day, making our way to Campamento Britanico and back. We eat dinner again in Campamento Italiano’s dining tent.

On Day Three, we make the return trip across Lake Pehoe on a catamaran. We see the park’s features from further away and learn more general information about the park. We eat dinner in the Las Torres restaurant.
