Exceeded all expectations
Everything, absolutely everything, from start to finish was all our taste and liking. The friendly staff. The quality of services. The comfort of our rooms. The delicacy of the Spa, where I enjoyed a massage. In short, not only around the most beautiful landscape of Chile, but also with the best the people who do their job with dedication, making the passenger feel like the absolute protagonist of the hotel.
After reading so many contrasting reviews here, I wasn’t sure what I was going to find… at the end it was what I thought: travellers expecting a first class hotel/restaurant infrastructure like in a 5 star Paris or NY hotel will probably be disappointed (as they will be paying similar prices). Travellers like us, expecting an astonishing landscape, friendly staff and comfortable rooms without luxury will love the hotel (…) Special mention to the staff, very very friendly. Yes, it can be slow in the front desk… I speak Spanish so the language was not a problem, but most of them speak good to excellent English. Guided tours really great, -cheers to Cristóbal-.
Last thing: we payed the All Included… expensive, but it was REALLY All Included. As many excursions as you want, as much food as you want, 24hs internet, etc. On check out we didn’t have to pay an extra penny (we were expecting to pay for the wine and drinks from the bar). Reed on TripAdvisor »
Considering it’s a five hour drive to get to the nearest big store, I think this is a stunningly good hotel, it just needs a few more staff. The rooms need updating, even a coat of paint and some new carpets would be an improvement. The bar is great, the restaurant is buffet style for everything and actually pretty good if you time it right. If you arrive towards the end of the evening or a bit late for breakfast then it’s awful.
The most important thing, the reason why you’ve flown for many hours to get there, is outside the hotel and the hotel is in the perfect place in the most beautiful spot on the earth. The guides that the hotel organizes are excellent and the guided walks are fantastic. Reed on TripAdvisor »
My wife and I stayed for three nights and had a marvelous time. The guides were first rate, the food excellent, the attention from staff wonderful and the setting magnificent. We can recommend Las Torres unconditionally. Reed on TripAdvisor »
Las Torres was the perfect place for us to partake in an active honeymoon. We rode horses, hiked mountains, and drank yummy Chilean wine. The staff at Las Torres was very sweet and helped make our trip exactly what we wanted – romantic and active! Their activities varied depending on the level of difficulty, which was nice because we were paired with others that matched our physical abilities. We can’t wait to go back one day!! The experience of a lifetime, the best of adventure and luxury. We did 3 excursions 2 on horseback with a guide and gaucho. The last rip was hiking to the towers which was a somewhat challenging hike for an in shape but not experienced hiker.
The guides were fantastic. The resort was in a perfect location, very close to the Trailheads. The food was fantastic, 5 star with a great wine selection. The spa was a good experience, but not the best massage I have ever had. The only complaint was we took our own transportation to the park (by boat which I highly recommend.) And they forgot to pick us up since we came an un-normal route by the resort standards. But they paid for our taxi, so not a big deal. An unforgettable trip, I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a bit of adventure and a nice bed to sleep in with excellent food and wine. Reed on TripAdvisor »
My husband and I stayed for three days in late December 2009. We chose this location due to its location. We wanted to hike to the towers and we didn’t want a long drive to begin the day of the hike.
Given that this hotel is truly in the middle of nowhere, it is a welcome retreat after a long day of hiking. The rooms are small but clean. The buffet dinner is expensive but delicious, not to mention a bit mind-boggling since you’re in the wilderness. They also have a good wine list. And if you don’t want the full buffet, you can order bar food at the lobby bar. (Although service there is a bit slow and burgers come with mayo on them unless you ask for them not to.)… Still, you are getting delicious cooked food and comfortable beds in the middle of nowhere. Worth every penny. Just wish I’d gone in a bit more prepared. Reed on TripAdvisor »
As a Cultural Antropologist I’ve been travelling a lot in my life. Seldom I’ve found such a great combination as here: people and horses, working so respectfully together!
In Las Torres I found wonderful people who were really interested in me and helped me to realize a dream out of my childhood, in combination with taking care in detail. I felt really at home and taken care of, right from the start.
My rides on the horses, together with the gauchos, will be for ever one of my most precious memories! And this all happened in such an overwhelming nature. Yes, Las Torres is since then one of my places to be! Reed on TripAdvisor »
Outstanding- service, food, scenery, guided tours are only option, even for backpacking. But guides are nice and knowledgeable, and the park is vast and gorgeous. Reed on TripAdvisor »
Location of Hotel was stunning, all hotel staff and guides were friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful. We were caught up with the disruption caused by the earthquake in Chile and we had to stay an additional day. The hotel couldn’t have been more helpful in trying to resolve travel arrangements. Having read the reviews on Trip Advisor prior to our visit (it was book by a travel agent as part of a 4 week trip to S.A) I was a bit worried about what we would find here, but what a very pleasant surprise! The scenery is stunning. We must have been very lucky with our room because we couldn’t fault it and thought the food was delicious. It is much better to take the all inclusive as it really includes everything, pick-up, trips, horse riding, guide, laundry, spa, massage, mini bar, and as much wonderful Chilean wine as you want! The guides are all great but I think my husband fell in love with the lovely Fani! Reed on TripAdvisor »
