    Location of the National Park Las Torres del Paine

    The Torres del Paine National Park is located in the community of Torres del Paine, Última Esperanza Province, Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region. When talking about Patagonia, is always related to extensive territories and wide spaces, with very little human intervention.

    Most of the visitors arrive from the following cities:

    • Punta Arenas (Chile): 395 km
    • Puerto Natales (Chile): 150 km (between P. Arenas and Torres del Paine)
    • Calafate (Argentina): 394 km

    The hotel offers a daily direct shuttle service from any of these 3 cities.

    Location of the Hotel Las Torres

    Hotel Las Torres is located in the heart of the National Park at the foot of the main tourist attraction, Las Torres del Paine and the starting point of the main trails of the park.

    This location allows Hotels Las Torres to be the closest one to the mountains so there is no need to use a car. This advantage is recognized by most visitors and has made this Hotel to become a paradise for lovers of trekking and horse riding. That is why the Hotel has designed a variety of tours and excursions, starting just from the hotel.

    Also, being surrounded by nature, hotel Las Torres offers different chances to walk around and quietly enjoy the spectacular view of Mount Almirante Nieto and part of the Torres del Paine.

    There are many alternatives to get to Torres del Paine and of course, to the Hotel Las Torres.

    From Chile

    Option 1: Santiago – Punta Arenas – Paine

    Entering to Chile through its capital Santiago, which is well connected with Europe, America, Oceania and Latin America Visitors from any part of the world can access with direct daily flights the largest city in the country.

    • Plane: (3.5 to 5 hrs) Santiago – Punta Arenas (Possible stop in Puerto Montt)
    • Car: (5 hrs) Punta Arenas – Torres del Paine (Hotel)

    One of the most common ways to reach the Torres del Paine, is taking a flight from Santiago de Chile to Punta Arenas, capital of the Magallanes region, and the city with the nearest airport to Las Torres, a trip which lasts three or four hours, depending on the scales. The airlines which offer the flights are Lan and Sky.

    To get the best price for the flights, it is recommended to buy the ticket one month in advance.

    Punta Arenas – Hotel Las Torres

    There are two options to go from Punta Arenas direct to the National Park, it is recommended to take the morning flights because if you arrive to Punta Arenas in the afternoon, you will have to spend the night in the city.

    It is worthy to mention that the flight times vary depending on the season, so you need to check that before booking.

    From Punta Arenas, the only way of transportation to the park is by vehicle. There are 395 km to Torres del Paine with a very easy asphalt road (there are only 60 km. with rubble).

    The transfer from the entrance of the Park (Laguna Amarga) to Hotel Las Torres takes only 20 minutes (7 km).

    Hotel Las Torres Patagonia offers direct transport service from Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales and Laguna Amarga, facilitating coordination and logistics.

    Option 2: Santiago – Puerto Montt – Natales – Paine

    • Plane: (1,5 hrs) Santiago – Puerto Montt
    • Ferry: (4 days) Puerto Montt – Pto. Natales.
    • Car: ( 2 hrs) Pto. Natales – Torres del Paine (Hotel)

    Another option is flying from Santiago to Puerto Montt and then embarking for a 4 nights trip by the Ferry Navimag. This ferry arrives to Puerto Natales, just two hours from the National Park. It is necessary to take a car to arrive to the Park.

    If you purchase an all-inclusive program or transportation services, there will be a van waiting for you to take you immediately from Puerto Natales to Hotel Las Torres Patagonia.

    From Argentina

    Option1: Buenos Aires – Calafate – Paine

    • Plane: (3.5 to 5 hrs) Buenos Aires – Calafate (Possible stop in Bariloche)
    • Car: (5 hrs) Calafate – Torres del Paine (Hotel)

    One of the most common ways to get to Torres del Paine, and the Hotel Las Torres is taking a flight with Aerolíneas Argentinas from Buenos Aires to El Calafate city where you can spend the night and visit Perito Moreno glacier. Hotel Las Torres Patagonia can arrange transportation with some trusted companies that fit your needs, with private transport or by bus.

    Option 2: Buenos Aires – Calafate – Ushuaia – Punta Arenas – Paine

    • Plane: (3.5 to 5 hrs) Buenos Aires – Calafate (Possible stop in Bariloche)
    • Aircraft: (1.5 hrs) Calafate – Ushuaia
    • Cruise: (3 nights), Ushuaia – Punta Arenas
    • Vehicle: (5 hrs) Punta Arenas – Torres del Paine (Hotel)

    Another option is to travel from Buenos Aires or Calafate to Ushuaia and take the Australis cruise (Crucero Australis) which navigates 3 nights across the fjords and canals to reach Punta Arenas.

    From Punta Arenas, a five-hour transport service will take you to Torres del Paine National Park.

    The disembarkation of the Australis is normally at 11:00 hrs. so at 12:00 hrs. departs the transport from Punta Arenas city to the Park.

    Option 3: Buenos Aires – Ushuaia – Punta Arenas – Paine

    • Plane: (4 to 5 hrs) Buenos Aires – Ushuaia
    • Vehicle: (10 hrs) Ushuaia – Punta Arenas
    • Vehicle: (5 hrs) Punta Arenas – Torres del Paine (Hotel)

    The flying time from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia takes from three to six hours. From there, it is possible to travel via ocean or by land to Punta Arenas (Chile), the nearest town to Torres del Paine.

    Direct air communication between Ushuaia and Punta Arenas is only available in high season by chartered flights. The company that offers those flights is Lan Chile. The flight takes one hour, if it is direct.

    Another option is to travel by land, crossing the border in Monte Aymond taking the ferry from Punta Arenas – Porvenir, or by San Sebastian, where the ferry crosses the Strait of Magellan, at Punta Delgada -Bahia Azul. The duration of this trip is about 12 hours.

    From Punta Arenas, departs a van that will transport you to the Park and after five hours you will arrive to Hotel Las Torres.

    Option 4: Buenos Aires – Ushuaia – Calafate – Paine

    • Plane: (4 a 6 hrs) Buenos Aires – Ushuaia
    • Plane: (1,5 hrs) Ushuaia – Calafate
    • Vehicle: (5 hrs) Calafate – Torres del Paine (Hotel)

    Another attractive route to reach the Torres del Paine, is taking a flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, where you can enjoy the Argentinean Patagonia, then travel to El Calafate by airplane or by bus.

    If you travel by plane, it is recommended to purchase the ticket in advance. There are different companies that offer this service, such as LAN and Aerolineas.

    One of the buses lines that offers this service isTaqsa, although the trip can take more time, because it crosses the Straits of Magellan.

    Finally, to go direct from Calafate to Paine, you can take a bus transfer on the Chilean border at Cerro Castillo to Torres del Paine. The distance between both locations is 210 km, this trip takes about three hours, but it is subject to the time for customs clearance.
